It's been a while but, just like Andrew, what do you expect from boys. Blogs are supposed to be girl things. I'm just picking up the slack and hoping Sutton will catch the bug and begin documenting our adventures. I'm doubting that will happen anytime soon though. I'm working on her, bringing her over to the internet communications side of things.Well this week I got a job and boy have I never felt more like a piece of poo. Literally. I'm working over at the institute building as a Janitor. I work 15 hours a week and for this first week I'm cleaning the bathrooms. That will change but I really don't like it. I don't know if this is really bad but It's just not me. I guess It'll be fine when I'm not cleaning piss off of a urinal 5 inches from my face. It'll be fine. I'll last until the end of the semester. Second bad thing about this job, besides seeing people I know every day and them poking fun at me, is that every Monday Morning we clean at 4:00 am and then again that night. If it were anymore than once a week getting up that early I wouldn't be taking it.
On the other side, I guess it is work and it does bring in 8 bucks an hour which is almost unheard of in Cedar City. I just need to humble my self I guess. But one huge argument in my mind is that little money right now which keeps me from studying and preparing for future is not a good thing. In my mind my opportunity costs are higher than 8 bucks an hour.
Regardless it'll all work. I'll be fine and the institute will be cleaner than it has been.
Let me know what you all think...

I would come to one of the bathrooms your cleaning and pee all over the seat....
Nice work. The matching sweaters in the last photo, I mean. Sutton's hair looks cute.
I've always found that I manage my time WAY better if I'm working and studying at the same time. Keep us posted as to how it's going.
I think work can be a good way to prepare for your study time...being busy forces you to prioritize. And business schools love to hear that you used to clean toilets--when you're a big CEO you can tell the stories... "Yeahp yeahp, back in Cedar, when I was cleaning toilets...just look at me now!"
Love Sutton's hair.
First of all, Sutton's hair looks great. SEcondly, I think it's a hard decision to make about working while in school. Some people finance their school through loans, some work part-time and some work full-time. If you can stand to get a few less studying hours and still get good grades, then maybe working is the best thing. Sometimes you just have to try it and if it doesn't work for you, then you could get a loan. There's my two bits.
When I was in college, I cleaned the Joseph Smith building at 3 a.m. every weekday morning. I lasted about 2 weeks, then quit because of not enough sleep. Sorry my experience is not more encouraging. -Dad
